Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Garth Hudson and his wife Maud to headline the Port Gamble Rock n Blues Festival. GARTH HUDSON, who gained international fame as co founder of legendary rock group "The Band" will perform Sunday, 28 August, at 9 PM. Martin Scorsese filmed them with a few of their well-known friends in The Last Waltz. Mr. Hudson was a principal architect of The
Band's unique sound. Known for his mastery of the Lowrey organ, Hudson's orchestral tone sense and style anticipated many of the sonic advances of the polyphonic synthesizer.

This two day music festival set in scenic and historic Port Gamble overlooking the Hood Canal and Olympic Mountains, will feature some of the top Blues and Rock bands in the Northwest. You can catch young guitar virtuoso Cody Rentas, who is blowing away audiences throughout the country with his electrifying blues guitar abilities. You'll also be able to see two of Seattle’s hottest rock acts, Midstokke and Perfect Pistol, and the outstanding blues mastery of Loose Gravel and the Quarry, the Front street Cats, the Ben Rice Band, and the Julie Duke Band, all well known, with tons of awards under their belts, and with huge followings throughout the northwest. You'll be able to catch the high energy rock performances of local Kitsap County local favorites, cROCKERS, the Drive, Without Warning, No Baggage, and a new group with a big sound, the Hyde Group. Also performing will be Eric Fridrich, whose Afro-Cuban Blues style has electrified audiences around the country. Eric's non-profit organization, Savor the Sound will be the beneficiary of this two day event. Our family freiendly event will feature local food vendors, a beer garden for the 21+ crowd and a root beer garden, bouncy house, intrument "petting zoo", and other activities for the kids.
